Last Night's Result
Kevin Gausman now has four starts where his SwStr% has been over 15.0%. The strikeouts are there and he is clearly getting unlucky. His FIP, xFIP, and K-BB% all tell a different story on his season. If Gausman is available I would add him to your roster. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets at least seven strikeouts per start for the rest of the year.
Our streamer pick for today is Chad Kuhl. Kuhl started off piggybacking with Steven Brault which was stupid. But Kuhl has since been let free! Kuhl has a lethal slider that has a SwStr% over 20% and an O-Swing% over 40. He draws the Brewers who not only have been bad as of late, but bad against right-handed pitchers. My second pick I am a little skeptical on but he meets our streaming formula. Adam Plutko got burned by the Tigers last time but this start creates the perfect storm. Plutko is pitching at home, the Tigers have a wRC+ under 70 in the last seven days and they have had a SwStr% over 12.0%. This year only two streamers have met the criteria so far and the total line comes out to 11.2 IP - 0 ER - 5 H - 7 BB - 15 Ks - 0.00 ERA - 1.03 WHIP.
Lindblom/McKenzie (who also will meet our formula)
