Streamer Of The Day 9/7

Morning Read: Last night A.J. Alexy went six innings deep allowing just one hit while striking out seven hitters against the Los Angeles Angels. Alexy was able to induce five whiffs on his four-seam and 11 whiffs overall. Between all of his pitches, he obtained a 31 CSW% on the night. Alexy has been great through two starts but with a small sample, it is hard to tell how real he really is, especially when he is showing a 0.91 BABIP, 100% LOB%, and 4.70 SIERA. The four-seam and changeup look to be good pitches but the slider gets me slightly worried with all of the hard contact it has endured so far. I think he is matchup dependant moving forward and likely still a high-end streamer.

Today's Streamer: Talk about small sample sizes, we have Jackson Kowar as our streamer for today! In his first call up he was horrendous but in his most recent call up he pitched well against the Cleveland Indians. Against the Guardians he was able to work that changeup well and he left the start with an overall SwStr% of 13.8%. He now gets a matchup with Baltimore and he should be able to handle their offense. Let's see what the youngster has in him.

Shallow League Option: Jake Odorizzi is the real play for today but he is 31% rostered just over our limit. He has been pitching well and continues on this little hot streak he has going. He takes on Seattle which means he gets a free out with Kelenic so that's a plus. I like Odorizzi here.

Deep League Option: Jackson Kowar.
