Morning Read: A pitcher to keep your eye on is Daniel Lynch, since he got called back up to the majors he has a 2.27 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. Sure the FIP shows that he really had a high three ERA but that is still super useful. I think what is most important though, is the opponents he has faced. He has pitched well against the Astros x2, Yankees, White Sox, Blue Jays, and Tigers. All of those offenses (minus the Tigers) are among the league-best. He is able to do it by utilizing his fastball and slider really well, this is super impressive from a young pitcher like Lynch.
Today's Streamer: Tanner Houck is the obvious choice and it is just a matter of time until they fully let him loose. The slider and fastball combination is among the best in the league already and the kid has a bright future. Let him go five innings Boston! The matchup against the Twins might be tough in terms of strikeouts but in terms of ratios, he should be able to get it done.
Shallow League Option: Tanner Houck.
Deep League Option: Eli Morgan is the Cleveland pitcher no one is talking about and has somewhat flown under the radar as of late. He has strikeout potential and takes on perhaps the worst offense in the league in the Texas Rangers. One thing that is important to note, as of late the Rangers have been better against left-handed pitching compared to right-handed and Morgan is right-handed.
Looking For Strikeouts: Tanner Houck, Tylor Megill, and Eli Morgan.
Looking For Quality Starts: Tanner Houck, Tylor Megill, and Eli Morgan.
Looking For Wins: Tanner Houck, Tylor Megill, and Eli Morgan.
Looking For Ratios: Tanner Houck, Tylor Megill, Casey Mize, and Eli Morgan.
Tomorrow's Streamers: Josiah Gray, Mike Minor, and Bailey Ober.
The Day After: Miles Mikolas and Brad Keller.
