Morning Read: Unfortunately I have to greet you all with another "the chart might not be updated" type of news. It looks like a hurricane might hit us on long island and if I am without power I obviously won't be able to do this. I am hoping for the best but we will see. I will of course tweet it out if possible!
Today's Streamer: We all know that the Washington Nationals traded away their entire offense except for Juan Soto and Josh Bell. The other hitters in their lineup are currently Victor Robles, Alcides Escobar, Yadiel Hernandez, Carter Kieboom, Luis Garcia, and Tres Barrera. Their 112 wRC+ in the last seven days is something I am just not buying. Eric Lauer faces them at home, a place where he holds a 3.77 ERA, and surprisingly Lauer has a high K-BB% in his last three starts.
Shallow League Option: The obvious choice for the day seems to be Triston McKenzie. McKenzie is sort of a high-risk high reward pitcher but his 14.2 SwStr% in his last three starts is quite appetizing. He hasn't pitched well at home but the Angels are just a mess offensively and continue to hover around slightly below average in terms of production.
Deep League Option: Kyle Freeland continues to pitch really well regardless of opponent. I know he is home and I know this is super risky but why not take a shot?
Looking For Strikeouts: Triston McKenzie, Jake Odorizzi, Drew Smyly, and Logan Gilbert.
Looking For Quality Starts: Triston McKenzie, Eric Lauer, and Jake Odorizzi.
Looking For Wins: Triston McKenzie, Jake Odorizzi, Drew Smyly, Erick Lauer, and J.A. Happ.
Looking For Ratios: Triston McKenzie, Eric Lauer, Kyle Freeland, and Rich Hill.
Tomorrow's Streamers: Luis Gil and Alec Mills.
The Day After: Praying for a better option.
