Streamer Of The Day 6/22

Morning Read: Merrill Kelly! He is definitely a valuable pitcher to use in the right situation. Do I think he is anything more than a streamer? Not likely. The good news is, it looks like offense is coming back down, and hopefully we can string together a bunch of good streams moving forward!

The other day on Twitter I mentioned the Did You Hear podcast and I want to double down on here. The podcast is hosted by Emma (@emma_Houghton9) and Patrick (@PZeng15) and the two have such great chemistry with each other. Of course, chemistry isn't everything (although still important) but when you combine that with really good content it makes for a can't miss podcast. Emma and Patrick are really impressive by the way they prepare for their episodes and the information they bring to light. Now they do talk about all sports but even if you are only into baseball they have several can't miss episodes. Recently on their 81st episode, they discussed baseball and foreign substances. I highly recommend you give the podcast a listen as well as this episode. You can find their podcast here.

Today's Streamer: Cole Irvin, our stream of the week, is our pick for today. he faces a Rangers team that has struggled consistently. They also are dead last in wRC+ against left-handed pitchers and bottom of the barrel in virtually every category out there. Irvin paints the corners well and he should be able to handle this Rangers offense.

Shallow League Option: Do I even need to really write about Tarik Skubal? Legit strikeout upside, great pitch mix change, and really hitting his stride. He should be over 50% owned.

Deep League Option: Ross Stripling is starting to impress as of late, especially with the recent uptick in strikeouts. He faces the Miami Marlins, and offense that has really cooled off. Duvall and Aguilar are serious power bats and if Stripling can avoid giving up big hits to those two he should be okay.

Looking For Strikeouts: Tarik Skubal, Ross Stripling, and Cole Irvin.

Looking For Quality Starts: Tarik Skubal, Cole Irvin, and Ross Stripling.

Looking For Wins: Cole Irvin, Ross Stripling, and Johan Oviedo.

Looking For Ratios: Tarik Skubal, Cole Irvin, Ross Striping, and Bailey Ober.

Tomorrow's Streamers: Jame Kaprielian and Caleb Smith.

The Day After: Jon Lester.
