Morning Read: My man Brent Suter gets the start for the Brewers. They will likely limit him or make this a bullpen day but he does have an outing where he pitched three innings. Perhaps if he is cruising they let him stay in a little longer? It's a risky stream pick for today but it does feel pretty safe ratio-wise.
On the season Suter has a 2.70 ERA, 3.58 FIP, and 22.4K%. What has been impressive is his ability to suppress hard contact. His HR/9 on the year is only 1.08, his barrel rate 4.2%, and his average EV 82.5 MPH. This all leads to a 3.39 xERA. Suter is the guy if you need someone to pitch two to three innings with good ratios and some chances to achieve a win.
Today's Streamer: What started off as a gut feeling two days ago has become a solid matchup. Mike Foltynewicz, who hasn't been that bad, takes on the struggling Mariners. The Mariners in the last seven days have a 71 wRC+, 15.2 SwStr%, and 0.583 OPS. They basically can't get on base, just ask John Means. Not just that but they have struggled against right-handed pitchers all season. Folty has been good at home so he should be able to pitch well.
