Morning Read: I know he faced a Mets offense that is essentially triple-A league level but Cody Poteet has been rather impressive. In this start, he threw three pitches over 12% of the time while mainly featuring his four-seam and changeup. He uses the four-seam to get called strikes and the changeup to induce whiffs, in this start particular he had six whiffs with the changeup. There is a solid gap in velocity between the two and they play off each other really nicely. Overall there isn't a lot of strikeout potential here but he should be a viable starter who knows how to induce weak contact. Stream him against weaker opponents.
Today's Streamer: He hasn't been officially announced yet but it should be David Peterson. He gets the Rockies on the road, a team who has the worst wRC+ in the league when on the road. Peterson should be able to get that slider and four-seam going to make this an easy stream. We are also going with Spencer Turnbull who has more than proven he can get through those easy lineups!
