Streamer Of The Day 4/8

Morning Read: David Peterson's line might look horrible but he actually didn't pitch that bad. He let up two big home runs which obviously isn't ideal. But. BUT. BUT. Butt? His slider induced 10 whiffs and three called strikes leading to a 43.0% CSW rate. His slider was nasty all night and just to compare that whiff count to something, Aaron Nola's fantastic curveball had three whiffs in this matchup. Peterson might be a sneaky stream for next week.

Today's Streamer: The Miami Marlins offense has been slightly worse than mediocre and I'm going with a Mets pitcher again. Taijuan Walker enjoyed a nice season in 2020 and he has always had the stuff it was just a matter of health. I want that four-seam fastball hitting those edges so his slider and split-finger can work off of it.

Shallow League Option: Adam Wainwright is the play today, if he is available in your league go out and grab him. He always seems to pitch better at home and draws the Brewers who so far this season hold a 41 wRC+, 14.9 SwStr%, and .489 OPS. Gross.

Deep League Option: If you are in deeper leagues your option comes down to some horrible options. Merrill Kelly in Colorado (nope), Tyler Anderson vs the Cubs (don't trust him), Cole Irvin at Houston (double nope), and Matt Harvey against Boston (...really?...). That leaves us with Jon Gray in Coors against the Diamondbacks offense who just lost Ketel Marte. Gray pitched well in his last outing, so why not?
