Morning Read: Ryan Weathers is suddenly storming onto fantasy managers radars (see what I did there?). After a fantastic performance last night against the Dodgers, some might wonder if he is truly this good. He's mainly a two-pitch pitcher who throws a four-seam fastball and slider. The slider movement isn't too crazy but he typically hits the bottom of the zone. If he misses, his misses are below the zone. This pitch should do. His four-seam on the other hand looks like an elite pitch. It has a ton of rise and last night it produced a whopping 41 CSW%. The main question is can a third pitch develop? He dabbles with a sinker and changeup and to me, I think he needs to lean towards the change. It has good velocity separation and he seems to have decent control over it. Either way, moving forward he is definitely worth an add.
Today's Streamer: Mike Minor gets the dream matchup of facing the Tigers. This worked really well for Tyler Anderson and should work well for Minor as well.
