Morning Read: Today we have two rookies getting the call in Janson Junk (amazing name) and Ryan Feltner. Junk came over from the Yankees in the Heaney deal and has struggled throughout most of his minor league career which makes this a bit surprising. He isn't a high strikeout guy and might be super risky if you stream him. Feltner on the other hand has been great in the minors. He is the team's number 22 prospect and this season in the minors he went 8-3 with a 2.62 ERA. Unfortunately, he pitches at home against the Braves so he might not be worth a look either.
Today's Streamer: Luis Patino gets the call as the high-velocity pitcher gets a matchup with the Twins. The Twins continue to have a low strikeout rate offensively but at the same time, they aren't doing much with their hits either. Patino has been great at home and he should be able to take care of the Twins.
Shallow League Option: Luis Patino.
Deep League Option: Taylor Hearn has been surprisingly decent. On the year he has a 4.28 SIERA and in his last three starts, he has a solid 17.9 K-BB%. He takes on the Angels who like the Twins don't strike out much but can't seem to find hits either. The Angels have a 72 wRC+ and .638 OPS in the last week so I think this could be a good play.
Dark Horse Streamer: Wil Crowe.
Looking For Strikeouts: Luis Patino, Josiah Gray, and Elieser Hernandez.
Looking For Quality Starts: Cole Irvin and Zach Davies.
Looking For Wins: Luis Patino and Zach Davies.
Looking For Ratios: Luis Patino, Taylor Hearn, and Zach Davies.
Tomorrow's Streamers: Tarik Skubal and Bailey Ober.
The Day After: Jake Odorizzi and Mitch Keller (yuk).
